Meanwhile, they also have the concept of being scared to speak out, because they fear that if they do it may jeopardize themselves and others. Being scared to speak out on tough situations can put a person in unpleasant positions and or dangerous situations. In most cases, people are most likely not to speak out to protect those they love and to protect themselves. Child abuse can rob kids of the joy of growing up and affect them negatively for years to come.
